Remember those old toys called "Colorforms" from when we were kids? They were little pieces of plastic that stuck to a board that was also out of plastic. You could arrange little scenes and stuff like that. We tried making our own on our sliding glass door today.
Here's what you need:
Foam sheets (you can find them at any craft store and most likely at Target/Walmart - just make sure you DON'T get the kid with sticky backs)
Here's what you do:
1. Cut whatever shapes you want out of your foam sheets. We made some basic geometric shapes that could be arranged into other things.
2. Using the foam paintbrush, put a small amount of water on your window or sliding glass door.
3. Stick the foam shape onto the water and it will stay there.
4. My kids played for about 45 minutes with this, cutting shapes and sticking them on the door. The shapes stayed "stuck" for about 4 or 5 hours and now are starting to drop off.
